A Weekend of Babies and Birthdays

The last few days a have been filled a lot friendship, family, babies, and birthdays.  It was only 2 days, but there was enough in our schedules to fill up 4 full days.

On Saturday my dear friend Keira had her baby shower.  She is having a little girl and is due April 21.  Keira lives in Logan, so it was a little bit of a trek getting up there, but absolutely worth it.  We became friends while I lived in Logan going to school.  We both found ourselves working at Ross.  Boo!  Her friendship was the only good thing that came from that place.  We have been friends for about 6 years now.  We don't see each other very often, because of the distance, but when we do get together we pick up right where we left off.  It is the best friendship.  No drama.  No hassle.  I love her dearly and couldn't ask for a better friend.  Here's a shout out to you Bags!  Friends for life.
Keira with only 7 weeks to go.  She looks gorgeous.
That night we stayed in Clinton.  For dinner we went to Applebee's to celebrate my dad's birthday.  Which was on March 1st.  We were happy to be able to go to dinner with them and spend some time laughing and eating with my family.  That night we hung out with Zach only.  That was a lot of fun for all 3 of us.  We hadn't done that since before he left on his mission.  We went and got milkshakes from Iceberg, laughed, and played some Grand Theft Auto.  It was a good night.

Sunday was filled with babies and birthdays again.  My lifelong friend Jodi had her baby boy.  We have been friends since the day we were born.  She was born 10 days after me, and that is when the friendship started.  She was due on April 2nd, but I got a text from her on February 27th saying that she had had her little one.  So about 5 weeks early.  Tyson Miguel Luna is what they named him.  The little guy was 4 lbs 12 oz and only 18 inches long.  Luckily though he was only in the NICU for 1 night.  The crazy thing is. . .  February 27th, 4 years ago, is when she had her little girl, Airiana.  She was 4 lbs 10 oz.  But she was in NICU for 10 days.  She was not as lucky.  But she sure is an adorable little girl now.  Congratulations Jodi!  I am so proud of the woman and mother that you have become.
Ariana and baby Tyson.

Sunday night we had a big family dinner.  To celebrate my dad and my brother Jake.  Jake's birthday is March 7th.  We again laughed, ate yummy food, and spent time together.  It was great and something that I definitely needed.

Moral of the story, I have some pretty amazing people in my life, and I am very grateful for every single one of them.
